Resuscitation...

Ok...achieved heeldom on a toe-up that I don't hate. Whew. And it looks normal. I don't like stressful socks. Especially very large stressful socks.

I was very VERY good this weekend...did not enhance my yarn stash or fiber stash at all. YAY ME!

Falling Leaves have fallen and they can't get up

I'm beginning to think these socks might just not be meant to be. This is now the second time I've had to do some serious frogging back. First, tried a short row heel...came out looking like a codpiece and I followed the directions perfectly. Got to the point where I was about to start the picot edge and just couldn't stand them. Frogged to before the start of the heel. Then I managed to mess up the lace pattern without realizing it for about 2 inches, so frogged back again. *sigh* If I have to frog a third time, I'm frogging the whole thing.

Now back to our regular programming...

Ok...Angel scarf done...that was refreshing. It's almost 6' long and cast off with about 30" to spare wheee

So, back to Vaila and the Glacier/Falling Leaves socks, etc. Vacation's over...

Cleansing the palate

Yes, I have a Vaila update...but I had to take a break and do something fairly mindless and on big needles before finishing the next 9 rows (which is where I get to start all the fun of armhole and vee-neck steeks and figure out how the pattern breaks around them). Plus, well, the Handmaiden was screaming to be played with...so started the Angel scarf out of the Silk Rumple/Angel Hair yarns in Rose Garden...

And Vaila...beginning to look like a sweater...

Now to bore you all...

Yup, another progress pic of Vaila...

But...I did have a small stash enhancement episode...unfortunately, I think I may be becoming addicted to Fleece Artist/Handmaiden yarns...

On the right, Fleece Artist Thrummed Moebius kit in aran-weight blue face leicester with mohair thrums in Tropical something...and on the left 600 meters of delicious Silk Cashmere lace-weight from Handmaiden in Mermaid...

On the right, Angel Rumple scarf kit with Silk Rumple and Angel Hair in Rose Garden, middle, Thrummed Mitten kit in a blue/grey/green Blue-faced leicester wool with mohair thrums, and left, Silk Maiden (50/50 silk/wool single ply) in Lily Pond...

Daily Vaila Status

As this is the only thing I'm working on right now, well, it continues to grow...I would say that anyone wanting to learn Continental style knitting, do Fair Isle cuz you'll get a lot of practice before having to fly it solo...
